Near from Death Note. A cosplay test, in my sad room with my sad camera as a tribute to my sad life...

Just kidding.

Yeah, just trying out the wig and shirt. No makeup or Photoshop, so it sucks, but I think I'm getting better at completing the look I want. I don't know. I tried. Mean comments are fine, I don't really care...

Can't wait till you do the full-out cosplay with all the makeup and stuff:)

I still think you make a better L, though. But you make an awesome Near, too:).

We need an awesome camera to take cosplay photos with! The camera we have now sucks, doesn't it? Lol:).

Better L? I think so too...
But my wig! My poor wig! It's dead, and I can't bring it back!!!
Maybe I should just buy a new one and stop complaining...

I can tell! You make a great Near. I would cosplay for L, but I wouldn't come anywhere near as close as your cosplay.

Thanks! Now, don't put yourself down! To be honest, before I tried cosplaying, I thought I'd be absolutely awful. And I am not really good, seeing as I need a better camera and such... but that's not the point. Even before I cosplayed, my sisters thought I would be terrible! Of course, they didn't say that at first... but they told me that after I cosplayed. I think you'd make a great cosplayer! The main thing you have to have is confidence. As my sister says, being in character is one of the most important things. So give it a try! If it doesn't turn out like you hoped, so what? At least you got out there and did what you wanted. And more importantly, even if you don't look exactly like the character, you look great anyway, and you still had fun! That's the way I see it, anyway. So why not give it a fair try? You'd be surprised at how different makeup and a costume can make a person look! At least, I was! :)

Hm... well, so what? It's about cosplaying who you want to, right? Whoever you want to cosplay, go for it! Plus, you can to binding and stuff if you want to cosplay a guy character, or a younger girl. Unfortunately for me, I have the opposite problem. My sister is always self conscious because she is... ahem... let's just say developed. I tell her to use it to her advantage! Heck, I wish I was as mature as her... I'm jealous. Anyway, sorry I can't be of more help, I think I'm maybe not understanding your worries correctly...But in short, cosplay's all about fun... :)

lol i know. but i'm not going for the seriously GREAT kind of cosplay. I'd start out lazy and work my way up. I did a pretty good Haku from Naruto a couple years back, that was easy and looked great.
